I also notice the same thing... On my machine i am *sure* it is due to a bad combination of fan/PSU. Also you have to consider the heavy impact prime95 has on the system: it's IMO the best stress program available. i see the temp on my Palomino 2000+ rise 10 degrees celsius as I use prime95...
