It's not entirely clear what you mean.
Any book which starts with the Riemann-Roch theorem is intended for people who have already followed a first course in Algebraic Geometry at graduate level.
I find Serge Lang's books useful occasionally for reference, but his style doesn't suit me when I am learning something new.
And I would advise anyone ordering books from Amazon instead of their local bookstore to read the following press article:
