Oh. I should have said. My problem was netlimiter. Uninstalling it didn't fix it (some parts stay) but updating to a new version that fixed that bug made it so I'm prime stable now.

The system is:
3200+ Athlon 64
768mb RAM (512mb pc3200 BH5, 256mb Crucial PC2100)
