Results for AMD Athlon 64 3400+

Some observations:

Version 24.6 without SSE2 is about 4.5% faster than Version 23.8.

Version 23.8 without SSE2 is slower whereas 24.6 is faster without SSE2.

Is there an optimized Athlon64...

I supplied a current link that quotes Microsoft directly stating that they will only support Intel on the IA64 instruction set.

The Prescott is not a IA64 processor, therfore no 64bit OS support...

George has had to buy the hardware necessary for him to do testing on various processors. Neither Intel nor AMD has provided him with processors, so improvements happen as George is able to acquire...
