Another update to the above - I have now uninstalled Ghostery Midnight and communication with PrimeNet is now normal again, so it is definitely GM that was the problem. It seems that rebooting only...

Angry Ghostery Midnight probably not to blame for CURL library errors

Well, it looks like Ghostery Midnight may not be the culprit after all. The "fix" I posted in my previous post does not last - it works for a while, but then the error messages return. As a test, I...

Posting this in case it helps someone - I found that Ghostery Midnight causes persistent CURL library errors when Prime95 tries to communicate with the server. One has to disable protection for...

Too many sections in worktodo.txt?

Hello -
I just upgraded Prime95 from v. 28.5 to 28.9, but something strange has happened. I have a quad-core CPU which was working fine with 28.5, but when I upgraded to 28.9, the program...

Smile 2 of 4 cores slow down significantly when I turn main monitor off - SOLVED

Thank you for the idea - however, it's a bit tricky since I can't access Task Manager when the monitors are off. It seems to resolve itself when the main monitor is turned back on, and AFAIK there...

Angry 2 of 4 cores slow down significantly when I turn main monitor off

I am seeing some strange behavior when I turn my main monitor off - Prime95 threads on cores 2 and 4 slow down - per iteration times increase by 50% or more. The threads on cores 1 and 3 remain...
