VGA from the graphics card or the motherboard? As far as I can tell it doesn't have VGA. Sometimes something needs to be connected at boot. It looks like that is HDMI or DisplayPort in this case.

Running on known primes isn't exactly the normal use case. Maybe a better thing to mention would be the error checking contained in tests which has a very high probability of finding errors.

You could fiddle with some values for -bkthresh1. I have seen this reduce memory usage a lot in large memory cases. Reducing the memory too much can slow it down.
