If so, the results were unexpected....

I chose 128k FFT size because it fits one per core with room to spare, and is about the smallest size I'd encounter in my areas of interest. Ram doesn't matter for that.
Once I'm done with some...

Other sources show 60MB L3, or typically 1.5MB/core of L3 plus 1.25MB/core of L2 which is non-inclusive so that will also count.
The cache is unified... as much as it was since Skylake server...

Faster ram always helps in this scenario, but with a H370 mobo I believe you're limited to whatever the official speed is supported by the CPU. It would have cost more, but perform better to get a...

I know, the situation isn't exactly the same, but The Radeon VII was based off I forget what the "pro" version was, but...

It is nvidia's right to sell their product how they wish, as it is a consumer's right to buy whatever product suits them. They wish to make "gaming" GPUs less attractive to miners, it is their...

As a "last resort" feature it could make some sense, but if it is something that could be run into regularly, I don't get it. Isn't a better solution to back off the boost some more before that...

Rocket Lake seems to be highly inspired by Ice Lake, and to my understanding the AVX512 implementation is not going to be silicon hogging since it does not offer additional FP64 execution resource...

I tried the IC pad on Zen 2 (don't recall if I tried it on Intel). I found it slightly worse than a good paste like MX-4 or Kryonaut. For a long term installation I'd still go paste. Pad seems more...

There's a lot of discussion going on elsewhere about ram choice. It seems even for gaming going dual rank or 2DPC is showing a not insignificant difference, but there is a claim that 16GB single rank...

Interesting point. It might not necessarily be halved due to various changes in the way Zen 3 works, but I take the point that we have more cores hanging off a single pool.
