But on my machine, it does have performance impact (because switching needs to go through extra computations, which is shown by the CPU usage of the "system" process)

Suggestion:
Show "MISSED FACTOR!" in P-1 results too, as in https://www.mersenne.ca/exponent/1014197 (shown in TF).
Some are not really "MISSED FACTORs", because P-1 can be run on the cofactor. But...

Maybe some of them are actually PRP but reserved as P-1? Getting P-1 assignments is much easier because there's no assignment rules.

v30.8 stage 2 thread switching

Stage 2 switches between threads constantly during stage 2, unlike PRP or LL where no switching happens.
That might be why the "system" and "program manager" steal my CPU cycles.

B2 should be re-calculated too. I suggest using the same method as Pminus1 uses.
This problem occurs in stage 1, indicating that older versions like 30.7 might face the same problem.

I disagree, because these assignments are usually far above Cat 4. For example, trial factoring in 230M range have at least 180 days to go, and PRP in these ranges have even more time to go.

Why did stage 1 only took 0.058s or 0.062s?
I think there's a small bug about stage 1 time.
The time would be reset after stopping and resuming. It's not a major bug, but it's sometimes confusing.
