Thanks, to find the number of uniques I just did a wc -l on the lines not starting with #, does that yield the correct result? Is there a faster way, does remdup output the number somewhere?

How can the percentage of uniques be found during sieving? By doing a manual filtering step on the relations?

Impressive progress anyway, about the same timeframe I need for a C167...

In an older post I saw why that initial c163 sieved so fast:

skew 8385289.96, size 8.965e-16, alpha -7.745, combined = 1.077e-12 rroots = 5
The record is 1.096e-12.

Ok, good to know. Does it apply to sieving as well? I never observed non-utilized cores during sieving.

Thanks, that's very helpful again. So we are not looking directly at the prime factors of a and b to create the squares but at the ideals?

Slightly off-topic, but I'll take the chance to ask: what are singletons and ideals?

In another thread you explained it as "...ideals are essentially the variables that our equations are in." Is...

Then I'll use P=5M as well, seems like a good middleground between 3M(c195) and 10M(c220). CADO documentation says a large P generally results in better polys, but fewer. Ambiguous as most parameters...

I didn't know that. For a 10 core should I use 5 clients à 4 threads or 10 à 2? And does sieving also benefit from hyperthreading? I didn't notice that problem during sieving.

I could also do a 1M range. Should the same parameters be used as for the c220 search just with an nq of 5^n?

Ok, thanks, it worked.

Are there any flags I could use to optimize e.g. for avx2? The makefile didn't look like it, but I'm far from being an expert there.

That was unexpected, the c291 from line 110 factored into p37*p42*p213 :)

Also both small factors were found with a low B1 of 1e6 and 3e6, respectively.
