I had a similar error recently, krylov finished and I got this:

I switched to msieve for LA. Thankfully it was a small number, so not much time was wasted. I am not sure about the revision,...

I know, but his chance of finding a factor has greatly decreased now that I did my curves. Running B1=11M is a more efficient use of ressources at this point, I guess? And since he seems to aim for...

I don't know where else to post this, I accidentally completed B1=3M (t40) on M11953 that is assigned to James Hintz. His name pops up often, but I don't know his username here. He might just skip...

Does anyone know if Syd is still reading this thread? In the factor tables there's the wrong entry for Proth numbers (called Cullen there) and the Sylvester/Euclid sequence could be fixed so it won't...

Great to see such progress on the Factorials. Apparently there were so few over the years because few people were working on them. I still think it'd be nice if the work was organized so ranges...

It was suggested that ECM often makes more sense on those smaller Mersenne than P-1, and yes, there are a lot of low-hanging fruits with t35 done only partially. 1500 B1=1M curves on a 10 core take...

If you use yafu, make sure it will not attempt ECM! As already mentioned it's useless for your number since there will be no small factors. You can do that by invoking yafu factor(12345) -noecm...

No new primes, just another status update:

No sieving was done since the last update.

All n < 5,600,000 have now been checked. No prime since more than 5M candidates, low weight indeed. :)

What happens when factors are found by TF or ECM

I recently ran TF via a colab session and it found a factor. I didn't observe it when it happened, only afterwards from the results. From that same results page of my Primenet account I saw that it...

Yep, I never got T4s before, only K80 which take about 4 h per 72-72 bit TF, but the last couple of days it was always a T4 which finishes in 45 min. Maybe Google upgraded the hardware and now more...

Thanks, the c167 took 12 days of sieving, the c170 had enough relations already after 15 days, much faster than I anticipated also from c150 and c160 jobs on that machine.

Second attempt with 230M rels and 162M uniques, it went through to the full merge, but quit there. So it's getting closer.

Btw, if C165 to C170 will double the sieving time, what is the time ratio...

Ah, thanks.

So the k in the table are those that might be prime? For example the first entry tells me that 2*1618932*2^M34+1 has no factor smaller than 210T?

Then what does this mean:

"All...

I still don't 100% get it. What are the numbers, values of k? So k=1618932 in combination with p=1257787 has been sived to 210T and k=60 in combination with p=32582657 has been sieved to 370T?

If...
