Pro+ sorry, it said so in the quote of my own earlier post. I'm trying to figure out if Pro+ is worth it at all. If I could get 1 instance of A100 constantly I would gladly take it, but I doubt it :)...

I have tested using only 1 instance per account for a few days to see if I got better GPUs, if the T4s / K80s was a "punishment" for running 2 instances.
I got only T4s still the last few days even...

I just got an email from the power company where they are warning me that prices are going up. The next 3 months could be 30% higher than the same period last year, and that is saying something, as I...

If n=p (mod p*ord(p)) then p*ord(p) < n ...

If n=p (mod p*ord(p)) then p*ord(p) < n even when p > sqrt(n), which I find a bit strange.

For example from the 2-spsp list:
6589845341971 = 485131 * 13583641

ord(13583641) = 485130 ...

Testing for primality and factorizing are 2 different tasks. The primality test for Mersenne Numbers is called the Lucas-Lehmer test and it can test for primality without searching for any factors,...

This week I'm getting only T4 and K80 on Pro+. I'm not sure I want to pay $50 for that. It might be because I'm running 2 instances, I will test soon if I get P100/V100 if I only run 1 instance.

All exponents below 104 286 673 have been tested at least once.

104,286,673 is the 5,994,166th prime number, so we are very close to 1st time checking + factoring the first 6 million prime...

I think you need to restart sessions completely after upgrading, and maybe it takes a little bit of time as well.

I was starting to get mostly T4's with occasional P100 on Pro nonplus(sed), and...

I guess I do not understand why psp-sieve is faster. It looks like you want to psp-sieve to 232.5 (except the first ~10K primes).
Even if ord(p) are precomputed, why is sieving mod (p*ord(p)) faster...

If you sieve to sqrt(N) you can use a normal sieve, you do not need psp-sieve or Fermat test? Everything remaining will be prime.

I was thinking of another idea:
When you jump ahead, for example...

It would be faster with 1 SPRP + 1 Lucas than 12 SPRP. At least the CPU code with the GMP library 1 Lucas test is about equal to 6.4-6.6 SPRP tests at 264 + 2*1016.
Why does 12 SPRP tests prove...

At 200K AVX-512 FFT I had to use "ExtraSafetymargin=0.03" for it to use the next higher 240K FFT, but I guess it depends on how far from the border you are, and maybe on the current FFT.

The next...

I switched my program from BPSW test (Miller-Rabin + Lucas) to 2 x Miller-Rabin instead, and it is now twice as fast. I'm pretty sure BPSW test is overkill here. I'm using base 2 and then base 9375,...

Gratz again!

Did you really test everything up to 264 + 1.249 * 1017 ?

What speed are you getting on the 1080 TI ? Either in time per...

I'm not sure you can call this 12-channel RAM. It is 2 CPU's with 6 channels each. You should definitely run different tests on each physical CPU and each test will get it's own 6-channel RAM.

@Prime95: Is this strange that there are no roundoff errors in Prime95 on AVX-512 200K on these 2 exponents that I got roundoff errors on in mprime? or is it very dependent on the specific processor?
