Ah, I see.

Hey Gary, did you really tell Carlos about the "secret weapon" machines, or is he bluffing?

em99010pepe 2008-02-18 22:59

So let's schedule a 24 hour rally starting on Feb 23 7 pm GMT port 100 of the LLRserver?

BTW, I don't bluff...

Okay, sounds good.

I'm hoping to bring the following (at least) to the rally:
-2.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, both cores
-1Ghz Intel Pentium 3
-(possibly) 550Mhz Intel Pentium 3

I say "hoping" because of what happened last time. Not that I'm planning to miss the rally this time, though.

Ah, I see. Gary, why'd you tell him? Now he's going to go tell all of the Free-DC people about it so they'll match the power!

Again this kind of talk? You :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah::blahblah: too much. Added one core to port 100, more to come.

Just a little bench if I am right about Gary's machines, my quady is equivalent to 10 of his machines.
By looking at the LLRnet stats Free-DC is starting to get away from second spot team.

Ooh, I guess that means that your two quad-cores equal his 20 machines! And then if you add Beyond's 6 quad-cores on top of that...not a pretty sight for the "no team" team.

Who said I have two quad-cores? Who said Beyond has 6 quad-cores?
Ah, so Gary told you, too?
lol, YOU told him Anon. It was either in one of the threads or in a PM that we were all exchanging I believe. And if you hadn't already, you just did.:blahblah:

Free-DC is talking trash here. I may have to pull out the even heavier artillery. 20 machines is nothing. As for a quad equalling 10 of mine, what about that 'false 4th core' that just doesn't seem to be able to utilize the resources properly? I can believe 7-8 but not 10.

Depends on the FFT length, for now it's smaller so the 4th core can still keep the pace.

I did? Oh, that must have been before we started doing teams at NPLB, so it would have seemed perfectly harmless at the time.

The 'false 4th core' doesn't really make that big a difference, I think, for numbers the size we're doing--am I correct, Carlos? (Edit: never mind, Carlos just confirmed this in a separate post that he made while I was writing this post.)

As for pulling out the heavy artillery--Gary, you need a quad-core! (Hey, the new AMD Phenoms--which are true quad-cores, unlike the Core 2 Quads--are getting pretty cheap now, and that's driven down the price of the Intel quads, too. You might want to check it out.)

I think the AMD's are poor on overclocking, at least that was what I've been reading on different forums.

Just received an interesting private message from Beyond, you guys should take a look on the stats next Wed or Thursday. lol
