llrnet - source code?
Hi, is the source code of llrnet available? I would like to port it to other OSs and maybe create packages for them.

Even if it isn't mind-numbingly fast(I think it WILL be mind-numbingly fast), it will still be a way to increase throughput for the various prime searching projects. |

Anything that increases the heat output is good imo:devil: If I had an ATI card I would be running the F@H client on it. |
IMO, if some programmer has to spend several weeks in order to get it working, and then the graphic cards are basically just producing heat out of expensive electricity, and the tests are taking one year because the n increases, then
- the programmers time is better spent finding a girlfriend - the electricity is better spent making a cup of tea - the money is better spent buying some real CPU. I imagine well people letting run their entire computer to finish the stupid test on the graphic card. Doing nothing is sometimes better than doing something just bacause one can. H. |

S.[/quote] I tried dropping the LLR 3.7.1 source into the LLRnet source tree (replacing the 3.5 source), but I just got a load of compile errors. Maybe we should all go over to the Riesel Sieve forum and start bugging them to make an "official" new version (they developed LLRnet in the first place, so if anyone can upgrade it to 3.7.1, they can)? |
