my quaddy is crunching a quarter too on that new LLRnet-server!
PS: ok, all 4 cores crunching to help Carlos a little bit... and make some more work on the server! |
I need a lot more work, something that will last two weeks for say 10 quads.
More knpairs please. :) Can I just append the new knpairs.txt file to the end of the current one? (after stopping the server of course) Can we have a thread for Server knpair reservations only? Maybe Carlos would want me to take a chunk of the ones we need to clean up? Or maybe there is more than he has to clean up? Either way, reserve me a big junk. If Beyond finds out I'm running one, and he turns on his 70+ cores, I'm gonna need a LOT more work. :) |

I need to visit a friend at hospital then I'll take care of this for you with an explanation on how to feed the server. |

(You can't have more than one of those in the same file.) |
Even when pruning hourly I suspect there's a memory leak on llrserver.exe. Last one, on port 100, occurred five minutes ago and the server is using more than 300MB of memory, and it's always increasing. Ironbits, could you check yours to see if you get the same behave? Thanks in advance,
Carlos |

Carlos
you will have a 4k increase with each k/n pairs processed until pruning ... when pruning start, yo will have an increase of 40% in memory used then going back to low value when pruning stop. and then starting again increasing with 4k step no way to decrease it (except pruning all the time, but pruning give timeouts ...) |

Ironbits,
Stop the server and add the following numbers at the end of the knpairs.txt file. Edit your server config file txt and change the pruning to each hour. http://celppinho.googlepages.com/NPLB-3168-3200.zip Carlos |
Ok, stopped the server, copy/pasted the new file to the end of the current knpairs.txt and restarted the server.
I also adjusted the pruning for hourly prunePeriod = 0.1 * 24 * 3600 -- hourly Come and get some work ! :crank:  |
Not sure which thread to put this in....
I have switched two machines off of d.net to NPLB llrnet. One of them is very slow (200 MHz Pentium-MMX), so I'd like it to work off of whichever server has the smallest exponents. The other isn't quite as slow (2.5 GHz P4 Northwood), but still not a speed demon. Which llrnet server should they use to get the smallest numbers to check? Right now I've got them connected to Carlos's port 100 server. |
yep right!
in the next future perhaps there is a LLRnet server for double checks n=100k-260k only for low machines. |
I think you should add your octo...we need to clean Gary's mess.
