I've posted files for 170K-190K. Gary, when do you think we should move to n=1K files?
Whenever a modern machine running one core would take longer than ~5-7 days to complete a file. Not having time to test one right now, I'll speculate at around n=200K although we could be there already at n=190K. |

The lower one of those would come in around 4999th place at this moment. Alas, there are 3 in the process of being proven so we missed by just a few hours on it so there is no use in submitting it. Even the higher one will come in at around 4980th place. Lennart, could you submit that one real fast? I realize it will drop off the list in the next 1-3 days but I'd like to have a historical record of it in the DB. Thanks. Nice finds! It's quite maddening that we keep finding these primes right around 5000th place. Tim just missed on the Riesel drive. |

Very nice find Lennart! :w00t: Two more k's down and a top-5000 prime to boot. I've marked the second one with red on the primes list, following the convention for denoting top-5000 primes in drives like this.
BTW @Gary: regarding the file sizes, I'll go ahead and post 2K files up to 200K shortly, though after that I'll do them in 1K chunks. I'll also remove the two primed k's from the remaining posted files while I'm at it. |
I was just looking at my master sieve file that I've been using to post files and I see that I had neglected to ever remove any of the primes >100K from the file. Thus, all the files I posted for 170K-190K had 35 k's in them, whereas they should have had 28 (now 26 since Lennart's 2 primes). Sorry about that, Lennart--looks like you did a little bit more work than was really needed. :redface:
I'll post corrected files for 180K-190K, as well as new files for 190K-200K, in a few minutes. Those files should all have 26 k's remaining, as they're supposed to. :smile: |

That's great Max! lol Is that also for n<170k. |
@Lennart and Flatlander: LOL :smile:
@Flatlander: No, <170K was posted by Gary and should be OK. I've now got files posted for 180K-200K, all with the correct number of k's (26). :smile: |
