Check our new exciting team drive #4 here.
We'll be searching 16 k's < 300 for n=600K-1M. |
does anyone noticed that NPLB is the second listed project on 'Prime Search Projects'?
i used to click on the last entry there but not today! thanks ???? |
Yes, I also wondered first. The reason is that 321Search was archieved and Xyzzy rearranged the projects.

Yeah, I had noticed. I had requested it a few months back. Nice to see us moved up a little.
The CRUS project was also moved up...to the #3 spot. Life is good. |
Due to the fact that most of are very busy with efforts elsewhere or here and most of the Free-DC folks are running OGR mostly full time, we'll be holding off running another rally for ~2-3 weeks yet; preferrably after the OGR project is complete and after David has completed the automated stats set up on our servers.
David is working almost non-stop in his spare time to get the automation set up. Thanks David! Gary |

Sorry for the delay! |
We have great news! We now have files sieved up to P=24.65T for our individual-k reservations drive! Sieving has paused for a while but will be continued up to P=26T a little later on.
Come and reserve some well sieved files for k=300-400 and n=600K-1M now! |
Out of town Friday-Saturday
Hi all,
I will be out of town beginning tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 7) and returning late Saturday (Nov. 8). I will most likely have limited or no access to mersenneforum, but regardless I should be back on Sunday whereupon I will of course have full access. I apologize for the short notice--I had intended to mention this at least a week in advance, except that it completely slipped my mind. Max  |
the new page for the Race #8 is online now!
|
Threads for team drives 5, 6, & 7 have now been started for the huge range of k=400-1001 and n=600K-1M. Keep right on crunching along with us as we undertake this huge endeaver and find many big primes!
The applicable servers are in the process of being loaded with the appropriate ranges at this time. Manual files will be posted after the 1st drive is complete. Karsten, in the next few days, can you create a new web page at your site for each of our new drives and provide me with a link to them? I'll then add the link to the 1st post in each of the drives like we've done with our other main drives. Thanks! Sometime in the next week or so, we'll get the k=1005-2000 drive kicked off for n=50K-350K. In late Jan., I'm hoping we'll be ready to start that range for n=350K-500K. There are 100's of small and medium-sized primes that still need to be found in that area. Likely, we will start a sieving drive shortly after the 1st drive is done for the higher n-ranges of k=1005-2000 to guarantee that we will be ready to start searching for top-5000 primes in that area by late Jan.
