If you are able to run both client/server on a single box and have it work,
If you use the local IP (192.168.0.2) on a second client and it doesn't work, If you can ping the server from the second client, If you have the "server=" line in the client configuration file set to the correct IP without a typo on the line, If the client says that it is attempting to connect to the server at the correct IP and then says it can not connect to it, Then you have a firewall active on the server box. It really is that simple. While you may think you have all of the firewalling turned off, obviously you don't. |

They are overly aggressive with this sometimes nowadays to block worms. Greg |
