Edit: I just noticed something else, though. I see you reported the correct prime under the proof-code L696, "Nicol, Srsieve, NPLB, LLR". A while back we switched to new sieve files that were sieved with the ppsieve/tpsieve programs. You thus need to submit all primes found after that point under a new proof code, which in your case would include "Nicol, Srsieve, Psieve, NPLB, LLR". I made an announcement about this back when we switched to the new sieve file but you may have missed it since you didn't find any primes around that time. What you'll need to do is send an email to Chris Caldwell (the top-5000's maintainer) and ask him to move 705*2^963099-1 to a new proof code crediting "Nicol, Srsieve, Psieve, NPLB, LLR". |
I see that now. Cool. Thanks.
I'll send another email to Dr Caldwell telling him to ignore my spam. EDIT: Ok. new prover code added and email sent. (his spam filter may block me soon :P ) You can clean up these posts now :) |

One more thing: Your proof code did not have NPLB in it. Can you create a new one that has NPLB in it and have Prof. Caldwell move the prime over to it? Thanks. Gary |

Gary
Just to clarify: driver-related BSODs (as henryzz's turned out to be) have no bearing on the stability of the CPU as it affects prime searches. Assuming his CPU is otherwise stable, there should be no problem. |

How long does it usually take him to reply or fix? I messaged him through the website. |
How long does it usually take him to reply or fix? I messaged him through the website.
Usually he responds pretty quickly; he might have missed your note. I'd send him another one. While you're at it, though, you'll want to ask him to fix these other proof codes I just spotted: -L620 (Stevens, NPLB, LLR) should have Srsieve in it as well -L641 (Stevens, Rieselprime, LLR) doesn't have a sieve program in it either--presumably Srsieve? Not meaning to nitpick--may as well kill two (er, three) birds with one stone. |
How long does it usually take him to reply or fix? I messaged him through the website.
I usually personally Email him. He almost always responds in less than a day. |

I believe the website sends an email to his address, so the end result would be the same. In my experience, I've gotten responses from him pretty quickly using that form too. |

What is going on with the 715*2^965837-1 prime ? Now the prime shows found by Dennis Schreiber and is credited to PrimeGrid. David, can you please check with Prof. Caldwell again? Keep in mind that you need to create a brand new proof code and request that Prof. Caldwell transfer the prime to it. He will not want to add software or projects to an already existing proof code. Thank you. |

That's what I did. The code was deleted automatically and reassigned to Dennis Schreiber. That prime is now sorted. I suppose I had better sort out the other problems. I hate wasting his time this much. I will be more careful in future. |
Its been a few weeks now but finally I found one.

The best run I've ever had so far: 5 primes at n~780k in a 3.5k n-range! Looking here those 5 primes were found on 5 consecutive days: Feb. 11th to 15th. Good average per day! Anyone to calculate the odds for such find? |
