After only one day at the new 6k-MiniDrive with half of my Quad:

345*2^1000251-1 is prime!

My 2nd Megabit-prime and my first for NPLB!

Congrats!

I should be so lucky. I've literally run 1000s of tests at CRUS and previously at RPS and never been able to hit a megabit one yet. Alas, I will get one in this drive at some point, whether it be in the 6k drive or with individual reservations. There will be plenty to go around.

Do you suppose that is the smallest megabit Riesel prime for k<400 on the top-5000 site? If so, is it the smallest for both Riesel and Sierp? That's pretty cool that one came around so quickly.

From looking at the top 5000 list, definitely yes. It's the smallest megabit prime for Riesel or Sierp with k<1213. These are the megabit primes up to his:
345a 345*2^1000251-1 301109 L536 2010
346b 1213*2^1000099-1 301063 L121 2010
347 8009271*2^1000005-1 301039 g396 2009
348 1611111*2^1000000+1 301037 p197 2007
349 1089927*2^1000000+1 301037 p197 2006
350 32883*2^1000004+1 301036 p86 2002
Coincidentally, Karsten's megabit prime, which has a k of 345, has an entry and current (as of this post) rank of 345. Congrats on the big prime!
(2^1000000 has 301030 digits, so this is a full list, regardless of what n was actually used)

533*2^798022-1 is prime

gd_barnes 2010-05-24 04:08

This is the 1st time I've had 2 n>=750K primes in one day.

719*2^750292-1 is prime
549*2^800603-1 is prime

It looks like Sloth has an even bigger one on the PRPnet server.

A nice day for the big primes!

435*2^810373-1 is prime.

Submitted to the list. Any items that should be listed besides LLR and NPLB?
