sorry i forgot about drying the other servers
in future i think 3 servers for one drive is a bit unnecessary though unless we have some proxies
I tend to agree. Port 400 was mostly running this drive. Carlos has been using port 443 because he needed a little bit of control over some of the ranges that he processes. He has some friends from Free-DC and elsewhere that either don't come around here at all or come around here little enough that it's easier if he controls his own ranges, which works well for us. As for port 4000, that was somewhat of an experiment by Max to see how well the server would work on my machine. It worked great until the machine went down in the middle of a 9-day business trip but my machines have generally been stable enough that we will keep it for future drives. (It was the only machine out of 12 total that I have that went down...bad luck to say the least.) For future drives, we will have one main server for each but will likely have either a "roving" server as needed for rallies or special situations and/or Carlos port 443 for his friends as needed. Got some time available for my cores, so I decided to also reserve 596.2-596.6:showoff:
If I should be unable to finish the whole range, I'll tell here soon enough. --nuggetprime |

I see IB moved a few more cores to NPLB, nice.

That's all I have, until someone develops a CUDA cruncher for a Tesla card aka GTX280 GPU
541.0K-541.2K complete, one prime: 635*2^541112-1 (already reported)

Patrick, Can you post the results file for your range? Or you can Email it to me at: gbarnes017 at gmail dot com Thanks, Gary
Karsten and Patrick, I don't have results files for the above ranges. Can you please post them here? Thanks, Gary P.S. I see that Patrick hasn't been on this site since Nov. 24th. We may be out of luck on that range. |
C443 has less than 8500 candidates left from Drive 1. If someone cares to help there I would be very glad.
Meanwhile I already found a modem that makes what I want:
5.1.6 Nailed-Up Connection (PPP) A nailed-up connection is a dial-up line where the connection is always up regardless of traffic demand. The P-660HWP-D1 does two things when you specify a nailed-up connection. The first is that idle timeout is disabled. The second is that the P-660HWP-D1 will try to bring up the connection when turned on and whenever the connection is down. A nailed-up connection can be very expensive for obvious reasons.
|
