I would like to reserve 567-570 for C443 server.

Hmm...wouldn't 547K-550K be better? The only reason why I reserved such a high range for G4000 was because it's a testbed for some new scripts and I didn't want to hold up the overall testing range due to slow progress.

Like he and I discussed in the 3rd drive thread, he prefers to test away from the leading edge of the servers. Although I'd prefer what you suggested to avoid gaps, I don't mind accomodating him here like was done with his 596-600 range on the 3rd drive.

I had thought he would want 597-600 but 567-570 is fine.

Would you mind sending that to him now? I need to get my machines moved over to port 400 (been idle for 6 hours now) and then need to be somewhere.

Thanks,
Gary

Ah, I see. Okay, I'll send the file to Carlos shortly.

You thought well but I changed my mind...let's see if we can find a prime everyday from now on on drive 1.
So we want to finish this by the end of the year?
Carlos

Edit: Made some calculations and at this pace we won't finish Drive 1 until the end of the year. We need Lennart, Glenn, Brucifer, kar_bon, Beyond, henryzz, jokern_3000, Flatlander...

Hey, what about little old me?

Edit: Never mind, I just realized that you left me out of your list here because I'm already participating in Drive #1.

That is the goal but I too had realized that we would fall a little short when we started the 4th drive unless we got a big boost from some people. If we finish by mid-January, that would still be very good.

How about we have a rally this coming weekend or the following weekend and then one in Dec. sometime? There should be nothing to distract us from this drive now! :-) I'm thinking a couple of rallies will put us close to completing by year end if one or more of the heavy hitters brings 50+ cores for 2-3 days each time.

I've added a 7th quad (a faster Intel with the other 6 AMD's) to the effort for a couple of days while I determine how to distribute some of my other misc. work amongst my 4 Intels.

I'll likely pick up a couple of more quads in the next 2-3 weeks. If so, I'll put at least 1 if not both of them on this drive. But I can't put them in the basement with my other machines...might burn the place down! lol ...am nearly maxed out on the two 20-amp circuits right now. I'll probably put them in my bedroom.

BTW, one reportable prime per day is what I had in mind when we shifted everything to this drive. This is the 1st full day so we'll have to see if we get one.

Reserving 547.0 - 547.1

Test on port 400

Hello all.

I am testing to run a llrserver as a proxy to port 400.

I have set up a llrserver on one of my own computer, that server conects to ironbits port 400 and get pairs from that server. After that my clients conect to my server and crunch them. When done my clients sends them to my server and my server sends them to ironbits port 400.

If this works i will use this in the future. It means that i dont have to change config files in ~70 clients. I only change in my server

Please PM me if you see anything strange.

That is a good idea, keeps it simpler for you that way.
That is the same setup that I used awhile back and Beyond uses.
We'll keep an eye on it to see how it goes.
The server can handle many clients, hopefully server to server will be just as reliable.
