AES 2008-05-13 22:33

Taking 445.0 to 445.2 (2)

I am pleased to announce that, after quite a bunch of struggling to get the results processed, Beyond's range of 400K-410K is officially done. The lresults will be emailed to Gary shortly.

This range presented a particularly tricky challenge in getting its results processed (Beyond had run the range on an internal LLRnet server, so the results were in LLRnet format and thus had to be processed as such). This was because there were some bad residuals in the results--but these weren't just any old bad residuals, which would have gone completely unnoticed. Instead, these results were duplicated--each with a different residual! We've finally managed to get it sorted out, though, and are reasonably confident in the quality of the final results.

Thank God that the bad residuals were at least duplicated with good ones (and thus came up as a red flag in my processing), otherwise they would have slipped by unobserved (and potentially missed a prime too!)

Edit: Ooh, a quick check revealed that there is one unreported new top-5000 prime in the results. I've sent a PM to Beyond about this...

Thanks Anon. You are officially the God of results processing!

AES has completed 445.0-445.2, one prime found and already reported. lresults are attached. (In case anyone is wondering why it's me posting the results, and not Adam himself, that's because he ran the range through a personal LLRnet server and I processed the results.)

418.7-418.8 complete 1 new prime already reported.
I've been manually splitting the results from the last several reservations, so I included the full work, prime, and lresults from this instance of LLR (in case I ever made a mistake while splitting and left some results out or something). I'll do the same for the other instance of LLR when it finishes 425.0-.1 and starts on the 435 range.
Edit: Just to clarify what ranges I'm speaking of here, it's about half of my reservations since 410.2 until 425.1, and the other half will come later tonight or tomorrow morning (depending on if it finishes before I go to bed).

A quick check with one of my LLRnet processing tools verified that your results for 418.7-418.8 are intact and complete. :tu:

(Note to Gary: the file you'll want to pull out of this archive is the "lresults.txt" inside the 418.7-418.8 folder, that's the one I verified.)

I just wanted to include everything to make sure that if I made any mistake splitting up the results before I submitted them (like accidentally including or leaving out some results around n=4xxx00) you'd still have the results. Could you use those processing tools of yours to verify the whole range instead of just 418.7-.8?
The other file is on track for finishing tonight at about 9:20. With CPU usage and my time to submit, you can expect it tonight about 9:25 - 9:40 (note: times are today CDT PM).

425.0-425.1 complete 1 prime already reported. Same deal with the results I'm sending as before. This is the other half. Between these two files, you'll have all my reservations, results, and primes from Drive 1 410.2-425.1.

Okay, will do as soon as I get the chance.
