200K? Uh, are you serious? I don't think we even have that much available to give out before we'd run out of sieved file. Did you mean to say 20K? |

Did you mean to say 20K?[/quote] No, he really meant 200K. Didn't Carlos or he tell you that he was about finished building 300 more machines? He'll have over 400 here shortly. He told me he'd just take everything up to n=600K himself in the next few months and that the rest of the team should start sieving and testing n>600K. I had to agree. It'd be easiest that way. So I've set a new goal to get everything tested to n=1M by the spring of 2009. Then we can sieve and test all of RPS's k's to n=1M too by the end of 2009 followed by testing k=1000-2000 to n=600K late in 2010. Gotta keep pushin'! :big grin: :missingteeth: He meant 200,000 k/n pairs. That's typically what he's requested from me. It's all top-5000 work now. I'm thinking ~50-50 split or ~100,000 k/n pairs on both drives 1 and 3. That will put drive 3 way ahead of drive 1 on the n-testing range due to less k's. This will give people a better variety of the n-range that they can choose to test. Also, if we can get it up to n=480K, we can open up even more k's to testing above n=600K. There are quite a few k's that were previously tested from 480K-600K with a gap below the range that we're filling in. Those additional k's would be in addition to the 7 k's that can be started right away after I'm done sieving n=600K-1M April 1st that have previously been tested to 600K with no gaps. The only caveat here is that I'd like to not wipe out too much of drive 3. I still want to spread things around some so I may tweak the percentage a little depending on where it puts him on testing. Sound reasonable? IronBits, I've exclusively been on drive 1 for quite a while now attempting to get the gap filled up to n=400K below Beyond's finished 400K-410K range. It's getting close now. Within the next few days, I'll shift at least 2 of my 4 LLRnet cores from Adam's drive 1 server to your drive 3 server. And after the 3 cores are done with my manual reservations there within a week, I'll shift at least 2 of them over for a total of 4. Gary |
Ah, I get it now.

If possible I need to delay the new ranges for 1 week.
