I thought that mprime was released for OS X on x86.

I've been looking for it as well and there's no mention of it on the mersenne.org software page.

There is a beta version available. Checkout the prime95 v25.5 thread in the PrimeNet subforum.

I've been running this for a while but no offense but the UI is a little weak.

any idea on when we can get an interactive window that isn't in a terminal?

I can't begin work on a real UI until I get a Mac. My Dell laptop died and I want to replace it with a Mac laptop. Unfortunately, Apple has been slow in coming out with a Penryn-based laptop.
