50.0M-50.1M to 2^64
I'll work on this range.

Figure I'd make an update on my status. Most of my results are on a computer that's been broken for a few months now. I was too caught up with life during the last academic semester to replace the motherboard or pay much attention to Prime95 (especially with my main cruncher out of commission). Hopefully now that it's summer I can get that fixed, and get my partial results collected and sent in.
How close (both in terms of exponents and time) is the leading edge of factoring from reaching my range? I definitely want to make sure my work doesn't go to waste, and if there's sufficient time I might try and crank out the rest of my range before it goes to PrimeNet for fun. |
The current leading edge is near 48.5M. I can't download the latest report right now, but based on older trends, I would say it will be to 50M in 3-4 months.

Just e-mailed in the results today. Hopefully somebody will be kind enough to post and let me know that the results have been added to the database (since I don't know where to find that stuff anymore).

A couple weeks ago, the v5 server's factoring page http://v5www.mersenne.org/report_factoring_effort/ had 2351 exponents in your range, all at 63 bits. Now there are just 420 exponents still at 63 bits and 1905 at 64 bits. Would that be from the results you just emailed?

There appears to be a few small gaps in that range still at 63. |
Yeah, that would be my work. I divided it up between about 5 different computers, so it's possible I may have forgotten a results file or just lost a section along the way. As long as I now know where the results get posted online, I should be able to take care of it.
Edit: I have results for 50030003-50039203, so either I forgot to attach that file or it just never got uploaded properly. I'd imagine the same thing happened with the 50012701-50019943 range, but in any case I think there's still a handful I need to take care of. |
Alright, this range is now completely complete.
