We are going to release all reservations that have not had a status update in over a year. In order for a status update to be official, we need both a search depth and the primes found up to that search depth.

LLR version 3.8.20

LLR version 3.8.20 now supports multithreading!
http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=22065

It has been released by Jean Penné and is now fully tested by Primegrid.
I figured out how to get LLR multithreading working on PRPNet:

See this post to see how to enable multithreaded LLR on BOINC:

LLR 3.8.20 needs to be available on the BOINC server for this to work.

One you go MT you won't go back ;-)

We are going to release all reservations that have not had a status update in over 6 months. In order for a status update to be official, we need both a search depth and the primes found up to that search depth. Exceptions will be made on huge-conjectured and high-n bases. Please check in with us from time to time on all reservations to avoid this fate. Thanks.

Where did BOINC go?

A large snow storm caused a power blip at my place today. In the process it appears to have fried my ethernet splitter where the server connects to the internet. Therefore the servers are down. It may be a couple of days before I can get it taken care of. I'll post here with any updates.

gd_barnes 2019-01-13 01:09

I guess the splitter wasn't fried after all. I had initially tried all of the unplugging and replugging that usually works after a blip but it did not initially work. It started working on its own after a few hours. Therefore the servers are running again.

You could have kept the snow in Kansas. Now I'm dealing with it. LOL

Server and ports are back up after a day outage. Sorry about the problem.

To those who may not have noticed, Primegrid is going to hold an Honary Challenge in Lennarts honor, to show respect to the huge impact Lennart has had on the conjectures and the primecommunity as a whole. Everyone who has been around as long as I have, sure should remember Lennart and his big influence on starting up conjectures and double checking where see fit.

The challenge is run through BOINC on the Extended Sierpinski Conjecture, more information can be found here: https://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=8703

I know it may be bad stile to promote other projects, but for this seven day challenge, Primegrid and CRUS actually have a common denominator through the great and long work Lennart did for us. The challenge starts on Lennarts 65th birthday. There is instructions in the thread at Primegrid on how to join the challenge and if you are new to BOINC please reach out in a PM and let me help you (even though most is very selfexplanatory).

Take care everyone
