OK, thanks. You might consider running PFGW without the -t switch (primality proof) in the future. You'll save quite a bit of CPU time. Without the switch, it will write out unproven PRPs to pfgw.log and then you can do proofs on those.
It turns out that I was following the wrong instructions in the Software sticky (I read post #1 rather than post #2.)

Thanks. I have stopped my work on S185, removed the -t switch, and restarted. Hopefully things will go a little faster now! (465s versus 844 seconds.)

Sierp base 9 is at n=700K; nothing to report; continuing to n=750K.

Sierp base 9 is at n=750K; nothing to report; Max and I are extending the reservation to n=800K. Once complete, I'll post the remaining sieve file for n=800K-1M, which is fully sieved to P=50T.

Status report

Base=10 (Sierpinski + Riesel) tested till n=430000.

Mathew reported in an Apr. 2nd Email that R30 is complete to n=140K for k=1936, 2293, and 3719. No primes to report.
Riesel base 22 is complete from n=300K-400K, no primes; results attached. I'm keeping this base reserved to an undefined maximum n-range as before, though it's temporarily on hold since my quad is currently busy helping Gary out with Sierp. base 9. We'll stay on base 9 as long as we can stomach the test times, so it may be a few months before I get back to base 22, though I do intend to return to it. In the meantime, though, if anyone else wants it really badly (and can sustain at least as much resources on it as I would, i.e. one quad), I'll release it. :smile:
Unreserving this base at n=400K. As quoted above I was keeping this reserved and on "standby" for a while, but now I've got other immediate plans for my quad after Gary and my joint effort on S9 finishes to 800K (should be within a day or two), so there's no point in me keeping this hogged up.

I have added 3656*22^n-1 to the 1k recommended bases effort. A sieve file to P=7T is available for n=400K-1M. It was undersieved for n=300K-400K and is now well undersieved.

gd_barnes 2010-04-09 06:06

Sierp base 9 is complete to n=800K. Nothing to report. Base released. A fully sieved file for n=800K-1M has been posted on the web pages.

Hi folks,

I finished my Riesel base 28 reservation. No primes, I could do with a big one.

Regards, Willem.

Did you know there was a sieve file sieved to P=7.5T posted on the reservations page for this base for all k's for n=150K-250K? It had many fewer tests than what you sent in the results. It is also shown with an asterisk indicating a sieve file is available in the recommended bases thread.

It might help you find that big one faster if you want to try a couple of more k's on that base. :smile:
