S26 Status Report
S26 has been checked up from n=500017 to n=560335 and from n=750739 to n=755911 (two halves of the original file run concurrently). I've now split the remaining candidates into 8 total files that will run concurrently until finished.

SR16 reservation:
I'm going to reserve following Riesel base 16 k's: 12587 13380 13703 19772 21555 24987 26378 28967 29885 33023 and following Sierpinski base 16 k's: 2908 6663 10183 17118 24582 30397 35818 40410 42745 44035 53653 57867 60070 64620 65077 25 k's in total, from n=500001 to n=600000. I'm currently sieving on 1 core on my Sandy Bridge, for n=500001 to n=1500000. As I progresses, the plan is to extent the reservation by 100K n's at a time. Optimal sievedepth is 1092T (70% sievedepth) or 1560T (100% sievedepth) for n=500K to n=1.5M. It's not possible for me to say for now, how this affects future work on R3, however all current reservations is going to be completed and so is this one. It is my current plan to hunt for a base 16 MegaPrime and to have the base 16 k's that has fallen behind, catch up to those k's tested the most. Sieving will most likely complete during the hot summer months. |

S6 Sieve Update
I suggest you test-sieve 2M-5M as well; you may be surprised how little the extra 50% range affects speed.
I wish I had done that - but I had already begun with 2M-4M. Status update: the S6 sieve is at p=5.8e13 and continuing. |

Status SR16
SR16 has begun testing. Except from a little gap from p=73.34T to p=75.00T, both sides is sieved to ~84.45T. (The gap will be closed as soon as sieving resumes on my Sandy Bridge).
I'm working on the range n=500001 to n=600000 on both sides. ETA is late this year. I expect 1.2 to 3 primes in this range. (In total 6 primes from n=500001 to n=1M (2.3 Riesel primes and 3.75 Sierpinski primes). It is still my plan to extent the current reservation by a new range of n=100K as soon as actively reserved range completes. My sieve file will stay from n=500001 to n=1.5M all the way up to p=1.5P is reached. |
