For the next two weeks the ranges processed in the Xeon will come in. Sorry for posting random but they are posted as they finish.

Carlos-
No, I stopped collecting them before 3M. If files are too big to post to the thread, you may email them to my gmail account (same as my forum login) so that a backup copy exists- but I'm not organizing them actively.

Mike, I sent you an email with all my latest results.
Tomorrow I will post 3910-3920. Friday 3726-3746 and next Monday 3930-3940. By Christmas 3970-3990. These two 10k chunks were delayed due to CFD simulations (DNS ones) but they are full power since two weeks ago. They are 50 % complete and I will leave the server running only two instances decreasing time per number from 15k seconds to 10k seconds.

Finally I need some help on how to in a linux folder give all permissions to all files to be red and changed. The server I am using is used via terminal so most of my actions are written in the command line.

VBCurtis 2013-11-27 21:11

Find the man page/help file for "chmod". That's the shell command to alter permissions.

Hi Carlos

To add read and write permissions to the 'user' (you) on one or more files try this
> chmod u+rw file ...
Add "-R" to apply the change recursivelly to directories.
You are supposed to have these permissions by default on files created by yourself. You can check the result by running "ls -l file ...".

As Curtis said check man pages of chmod, ls, and chown for details.

Thank you guys.

3910 to 3920 complete, no primes.

I managed with PuTTY client to give all permissions to the files.
Also good news for me and for k=5 project is that the lab bought a server with two Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2660 v2. I had permission to use one core (already running k=5...lol) but I think I will be able to use more because the DNS simulations saturate the 20 TB disk in less than a 1 week only using 2-3 cores of the 12 available with HT off.
