For the next two weeks the ranges processed in the Xeon will come in. Sorry for posting random but they are posted as they finish.

If files are too big to post to the thread, you may email them to my gmail account (same as my forum login) so that a backup copy exists- but I'm not organizing them actively. |
Carlos-
No, I stopped collecting them before 3M. If files are too big to post to the thread, you may email them to my gmail account (same as my forum login) so that a backup copy exists- but I'm not organizing them actively.
Mike, I sent you an email with all my latest results. Tomorrow I will post 3910-3920. Friday 3726-3746 and next Monday 3930-3940. By Christmas 3970-3990. These two 10k chunks were delayed due to CFD simulations (DNS ones) but they are full power since two weeks ago. They are 50 % complete and I will leave the server running only two instances decreasing time per number from 15k seconds to 10k seconds. Finally I need some help on how to in a linux folder give all permissions to all files to be red and changed. The server I am using is used via terminal so most of my actions are written in the command line. |
Find the man page/help file for "chmod". That's the shell command to alter permissions.

Hi Carlos
To add read and write permissions to the 'user' (you) on one or more files try this > chmod u+rw file ... Add "-R" to apply the change recursivelly to directories. You are supposed to have these permissions by default on files created by yourself. You can check the result by running "ls -l file ...". As Curtis said check man pages of chmod, ls, and chown for details. |

Thank you guys.
3910 to 3920 complete, no primes. |
I managed with PuTTY client to give all permissions to the files.
Also good news for me and for k=5 project is that the lab bought a server with two Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2660 v2. I had permission to use one core (already running k=5...lol) but I think I will be able to use more because the DNS simulations saturate the 20 TB disk in less than a 1 week only using 2-3 cores of the 12 available with HT off.
