k=67 is now continuously tested to n=1.76M. I am still working on this k.

amphoria 2009-01-10 10:40

k=81

As well as the range previously published, I have also tested this k in the range n=1600-1655k.

As previously stated I am no longer working on this k, but have a sieve file to n=2M if anyone is interested.

Our k<300 stats page is back online here!

It includes all found primes and achieved limits of continuously tested ranges. I'll post other completed ranges beyond these limits on a separate page. Limits of k=23 and of some Ks reserved by Adam (AES) are most likely not up to date, but these are the only ones I have.

Kosmaj 2009-01-10 13:45

Other completed ranges in the 5 <= k <= 101 range of Ks is given here.

These are mostly ranges kindly provided by Peter, with addition of those completed by us. Ranges below continuously tested limit (n max) are removed for clarity.

A few notes:
k=9, AES did more tests in the 1.33-1.43M range but I don't have them right now.
k=23, SlashDude did tests at least to 2M, but the last report I got from him was at n=1.5M.
k=27, 12121 (Justin) did more tests for n>1614k. Details can be found on their home page.
k=73, I think somebody did megabit tests but cannot find the details right now.
k=95 is the only k<100 not completed to 1M. I did tests to 960k, and I'm continuing from Peter's limit at 969k now.

Let me know if you find any errors, or missing ranges.

About Reservations

I'd like to suggest that for k<100 from now on, when making a reservation, we specify (at least roughly) the range of the exponent (n) we want to test. Here are my top picks:
k=7, 2210-2366k
k=35, 1465-1550k
k=79, 1020-1090k
k=91, 1030-1070k

Everything else, although currently reserved by me, I'm willing to share.

To pb:
Please select Ks and ranges you would like to test besides your k=5 reservation. We have presieved files for many k<100 (various sieving depths). At the lower end I can suggest k=51, 57, 61, 65, 69, and 87 from n=1M. We are actually planning to start a drive to test them. k=63, 95, and 97 can be added too.

Comments are welcome.

k=33, complete to n=1900000
k=71, complete to n=1976000

k=289 is reserved by me and is being double-checked up to n=800K. It is now complete to n=760K with no problems found. It is currently paused for 1 more week for work on another effort.

k=157 is no longer reserved by Max (Anon).

k=147 is complete by Max to 797K.

k=3 is no longer reserved by the 321 project. It is reserved by Primegrid.

k=1 is now fully complete to n=21.467M.

You might change all occurrences of "Anon" to "Max".

These changes are already reflected on Karsten's k<300 page. You might want to check your ranges and reservations there for updates to your 15k.org page.

NPLB has a thread for misc. statuses k<300 here. That is where we post updates.

It's nice to see everything opened back up again! :smile:

I updated our k<300 stats page with latest reports.

Anon found two k=157 primes but never reported his progress. And what happened with your k=139 reservation?

We stopped status updates here like everyone else did when you hid your page and started reporting them directly to Karsten. That was the most up-to-date public page until now. Later on after completing those two k's, we started our own thread.

As shown on Karsten's page:

k=139 is at n=800K and unreserved.

k=157 is at n=1M and unreserved.

I suggest that more up-to-date info. be taken from Karsten's page on any other k's. He will probably do the same from your page and hopefully the public will finally have a fully up-to-date k<300 page for Riesel primes.

Edit: You still didn't update the k=1 range. I just now checked here: http://v5www.mersenne.org/report_milestones/. It looks like Karsten's range is now out of date too. It should be n=23.495M.

Karsten, if you see this, please update your k=1 range.

k=1, 139, and 157 updated.

Our page is now more up-to-date than Karsten's.

Thanks! I think I can speak for many of us in saying that we're all greatful to you guys for opening it up and to Peter Benson for reporting his ranges!

It looks like all k<300 is now officially at n>=700K, which was a big part of the reason that I continued the double-check on k=289! :smile:

Karsten, you better get moving on updating your page! :grin:

One more thing that I had mentioned somewhere here previously: NPLB has now double-checked all k=3-31 for n=100K-260K. No problems found. I am also personally double-checking k=31 for n=260K-500K due to the recent missing primes for n=400K-500K. I am currently at n=390K with no problems found with completion expected in about ~1 week on 1 core. After that is done, I'll continue on a few k's at a time. I know this is probably triple-check on some of the ranges but it never hurts.
