I noticed a bunch of nice pictures near most names. Could anyone explain how I can add a picture myself ? I think they are called avatars, right ?
Is there a way to upload a picture to the forum ?

In your personal profile, at the bottom, you can add a personal icon / image. As far as I know you have to be able to serve it from somewhere or ask Xyzzy if he will host it.
