That's an excellent quote in that article, from the vice president of a casino:
"I believe in math," he said with a chuckle.
Chuckling all the way to the bank, thanks to math.

Well In India it is considered a very lucky day to marry on.

The register is brimming with thousands of marriage applications all over India.
The last year gave us 06/06/06 which was viewed with caution.

Numerologically speaking it actually is 07/07/2007 and so the root number is 23 [7+7+2+7] and this boils down to 1+4 =5 which is a very sociable number.

 However crime will be on the rise as there will be a lot of stabbing cases to deal with that night!

Imagine the number of women about 30 years ago that wanted to have their child born on 7/7/77.

Uncwilly, is your avatar really for sale? What are your rates, if it is? (just curious)

Yes, sure. Isn't everyone's?
The rates? If you have to ask you can't afford it. Make me an offer via PM.

Allow me to sympathize with all you English blokes on the second anniversary of the London train/tube bombings.

Thank you, Mally. Yes, 7/7 doesn't have good associations for many people over here.

Congratulations, btw for overtaking xilman to become 'top poster' on the forums. (I think that happened yesterday)

 Thank you Richard for being so observant of my posts. I knew I was up there somewhere but not a topper. I intend to stay there and maintain the lead. Its an incentive to the others to try to beat me at it!

To be fair though when I started, jinydu had a score of over 3000 and then the meter was set to zero.

I think Bob Silverman was a close second and then he disappeared form the scene and later came back.

I love the forum so much that I spend hours on it on selected threads like Puzzles, Lounge, maths, soap box and science and technology and others like jokes, etc.

It gives me an outlet for my creativeness, which otherwise was stifled.

Its good to know that members read my posts!

Regards Richard,
