Someone else just got the exact same message I recently got from 502-205-5970 (Kentucky), only this time it was from 240-890-5690 (Maryland). My guess is, the Kentucky number had been shut down

PayPal scam is very well done.
 

I've gotten a couple emails lately from "PayPal" informing me I had just purchased some item; not overly expensive (< $100) so as to NOT cause panic. The email looked VERY VERY realistic; all the right headers, images, footer links.

And every link, when hovered over, was a [url]www.paypal.com[/url] URL ....
EXCEPT
the link to "Logon here" to CANCEL the order.

Friendly call from Microsoft

STELLA: Hi, my name is Stella. I'm calling you from Microsoft to inform you that you have a virus on your computer.
ME: <switches to English> Oww, hi Stella. How kind of you to call me. Which computer are you referring to?

STELLA: You have a virus on your computer.
ME: You already told me that. I asked which computer?
STELLA: I can help you delete the virus.
ME: Yes, that is very kind of you. But you still didn't answer my question.
STELLA: Can you turn on your PC?
ME: Stella, I regret to inform you that you are part of a scam.

and she hung up the phone! How rude! I didn't even get the chance to ask her how the weather is in India :down:

I actually think that some of these people they hire for the fake call centers really don't know that they are part of a bigger scam.

Unfortunately way too many people fall for this.
