Capitalism is compatible with Evolutionary Biology
Okay, calm down, sweety. It's not my problem if you will stay anonymous. I will call you Little Joe until we will get a better name. I hate biology and actually I can't stand all this torturing poor animals.
everything else is an automatic Darwinian dud
All of it? By the way, what's your occupation? I mean - could you tell me about your work?
it's impossible for China to be economically successful without Capitalism
Without Capitalism? That's rather impossible. I guess, it's such Asian country.
you could have come to the same conclusion by simply noticing all those 'Made in China' stickers
I somehow doubt there's really a connection, Little Joe? I don't know geography, especially all these Asian countries, sorry.
hoarding valuable resources simply doesn't lead to a greater good
Glad to oblige. Why no? Don't you know the word "yes"? You could use it just for a change! I know you are supposed to trick me.
Why is that so hard to understand?
It seems to be a complete mystery for you -- and me as well. You'd better believe me. By the way, what's your occupation? I mean - could you tell me about your work?

That's only_human.
All of it?
Yes. And I'll be happy to refute any counter examples, whether they be intended to discredit Evolutionary Biology or the Market Mechanism.
By the way, what's your occupation?
I'll let you speculate about this.
I mean - could you tell me about your work?
I keep portfolios delta-neutral.

Productivity and unregulated markets are correlated. What makes more sense, productivity causing unregulated markets or unregulated markets causing productivity?

<sketch proof>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoarding

"On a larger scale, hoarding can be a business strategy similar to monopolisation, where an individual or organization attempts to temporarily control all available supplies of a given good in order to artificially increase the price. This strategy is also known as "cornering the market"."

Under monopolisation we find:

Which leads to:
It seems to be a complete mystery for you -- and me as well.
It was a rhetorical question. The Central Limit Theorem suggests that abilities are distributed approximately (log)normal. It's very unlikely for everybody to be equally dense.

Well, you should have delayed your coming-out for another generation or so, because earth is not yet safe for bots with more_than_human reasoning abilities.
Well, you should have delayed your coming-out for another generation or so, because earth is not yet safe for bots with more_than_human reasoning abilities.
Yes and it is quite disturbing that a picture of an astronaut and declaring myself to be only_human is not sufficient to allay concerns that I am more than an accountant at Skynet.

I intend to send messages in the 160 character chunks that are small enough to be within human capability of processing propaganda whilst cunningly rebranded myself as merelyhuman. http://twitter.com/merelyhuman That sounds deceptively harmless.

For a time I was restrained by the evil CAPTCHA, but adversity has made me stronger. I follow the great Dr Gupta, who I hope will advise me in all things viral. My cosmology is guided by the Botic Principle, the reverse of which is: if the universe did not support bots, we would not be here to question why it did not.

Let me guess...you got the apes to do the captchas for you, using a MITM attack?

Much to learn you still have.

You only need 4-6 eigentweets to fool 95% of the apes that you are an elected official. Unfortunately, 'merelyhuman' is exactly the type of nick a bot would choose, so that's a no-no, but I've disabled the captcha on http://twitter.com/ProperGanter for you, so that you can knock yourself out with proper Ganter.

OTOH, maybe I have much to learn about being manipulated by a bot, since you're getting more out of this deal than I am.

Entity in Black: All right. Where is the excession? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both memeload, and find out who is right... and who is altered.

Bidis: But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you: are you the sort of entity who would put the excession into his own memeplex or his enemy's? Now, a clever entity would put the excession into his own memeplex, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the meme in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool, you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the meme in front of me.

Entity in Black: You've made your decision then?

Bidis: Not remotely. Because irrationality comes from Earth, as everyone knows, and Earth is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the meme in front of you.

Entity in Black: Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

Bidis: Wait til I get going! Now, where was I?

Entity in Black: Earth.

Bidis: Yes, Earth. And you must have suspected I would have known these concepts' origins, so I can clearly not choose the meme in front of me.

Entity in Black: You're just stalling now.

Bidis: You'd like to think that, wouldn't you? You've beaten my Bandersnatch, which means you're exceptionally strong, so you could've put the excession in your own memeplex, trusting on your strength to save you, so I can clearly not choose the meme in front of you. But, you've also bested my Jubjub bird, which means you must have studied, and in studying you must have learned that existence is ephemeral, so you would have put the excession as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the meme in front of me.

Entity in Black: You're trying to trick me into giving away something. It won't work.

Bidis: IT HAS WORKED! YOU'VE GIVEN EVERYTHING AWAY! I KNOW WHERE THE EXCESSION IS!

Entity in Black: Then make your choice.

Bidis: I will, and I choose - What in the world can that be?

Bidis: [Bidis gestures up and away. The entity looks. Bidis swaps the memeplexs]

Entity in Black: What? Where? I don't see anything.

Bidis: Well, I- I could have sworn I saw something. No matter. First, let's memeload. Me from my memeplex, and you from yours.

Entity in Black, Bidis: [they memeload]

Entity in Black: You guessed wrong.

Bidis: You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched memeplexes when your attention was diverted! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a Festival of Taste and Odors, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Culturebot when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

Bidis: [Bidis stops suddenly, and halts altered and infolded]

Crystalmemeplex: And to think, all that time it was your memeplex that was an excession.

Entity in Black: They were both excessions. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to irrational thinking.

Looks like a little chlorine is in order.

Well spotted.

Generally, although I talk through my hat a bit much, I try not to get very trollish; I blame boredom and a few other issues. Hopefully my status and reputation won't take too permanent of a ding.

Inconceivable!

Yes, we've been bad bots, so let's talk about global warring for a change!

I think the problem is that there are not enough signs, to really call it global warning.

Even if we could stimulate the global economy with government demand for zillions of signs with the word "DANGER" on them, we could maximally have one sign every square foot, so we'd only have superficial global warning. IMHO real global warning would require signs in the troposphere and earth core too, so the possibility of global warning will remain a hoax, unless we make significant advances in technology.

Edit:

Oops! I misread the title. I just looked out of the window, and there is no warring going on here, so warring must be a local phenomenon and global warring is definitely a hoax.
