Excellent! You might check with Karsten. He may want the primes right now. I'm thinking he'll probably want to break it up over several site updates. Hopefully we don't crash the server!

I guess at some point, we need to do 10K<k<100K up to n=10K.

Twins on our site for 100M < k < 1G

1 Attachment(s)
Karsten,

I did a Proth prime search on all Riesel primes shown on the summary site for 100M < k < 1G. The list is attached.

Like before, this isn't necessarily all of the twins for each of the k's searched. It is only twins for Riesel primes shown on our site.

Nothing of significant size found.

Correction on twin on k=24405

Karsten,

The twin for k=24405 that you show as n=24405 should be n=2196.

Gary

kar_bon 2007-10-20 07:58

ok, is corrected in my data pages. for 10^4 i filled all k's with twins for primes upto n=1k or 5k. so the next update will be complete.
i try to update all 4 weeks at end of months. hope that's ok because there are many pages to looked at. most pages are not very timeconsuming and the datapages itself i update almost every day.
some stats for now: 6843 k's with 119043 primes (old: 6714 and 117368).

kar_bon 2007-10-24 20:38

oh, you're right, thanks.
and i think also the links to the Top5000 marked primes don't work! i forgot to insert the scriptcode in the page for 6000<k<8000. so they are in there the next update at Oct 30!

gd_barnes 2007-10-24 20:45

All links not working for 6000 < k < 8000 page

Karsten,

All of the links are not working on the 6000 < k < 8000 page. It looks like the functions at the top of the HTML are missing that tell the page where to go for the various links. Very strange!

One more thing: It won't make any difference with your next update, but I think the "Last Update" for the web page should have been Oct. 1st or Oct. 2nd or perhaps Sept. 30th instead of Oct. 30th. Obviously Oct. 30th hasn't arrived yet.

Edit...oops, you responded too fast. I deleted my prior message and added this one after realizing that none of the links work instead of just the ones for 'last update'. The posts will just be out of order.

new update pages

1 Attachment(s)
hello all,
Happy Halloween (no fitting smilie )
the new update is on the fly.
2 new pages:
- Information and Data of the Riesel Problem
- a table with first odd k which contains a special twin. for example the first k where n=23 is a twin is k=1179.

I have reached n=15000 for 100001<k<199999 project and I will continue till n=20000 :flex:
Results have been e-mailed to kar_bon :tu:

kar_bon 2007-11-05 22:52

ok, got them. thanks for that, cruelty.
don't have anything done with them, try to write a script to extract all data in compressed form like the summary pages.

Cruelty 2007-11-06 18:16

Yeah it's a lot of data, and my computer knowledge is not sufficient to make it usable...

gd_barnes 2007-11-06 20:42

When will the new pages be uploaded to 15k.org?

Kosmaj 2007-11-09 15:36

The latest version of our stats pages is now on the server: www.15k.org

I'm not sure why do we need the "First odd k with twin" page but it's there, and I added missing values in the 1000-1019 range. The values to 1000 have been known for a long while so it seems to me you guys addes very little new results. Also, I tried to align the cells to the right but it works only in IE, not in Firefox.

BTW, almost no colors in "Data" pages appear in Firefox either... Of course, it's a minor issue, only the numbers are important!

Thanks to Karsten for his hard work!

em99010pepe 2007-11-09 15:43

Karsten,

Just to remind:

k=105 is done up to 700k.
k=15 is done up to 1750k.
k=210885 done up to 624k.

What about adding a bench page and a mention to the GHz involved on RPS? I have a constant 17.6 GHz of CPU power and can go up to 30.92 GHz.

Someone could also update my contribution, found my last prime on 11/06/2007 and my homepage is here.
Carlos

kar_bon 2007-11-09 15:50

k=210885 is ok next update (last info for this k was Nov. 1st, after my update).
k<300 is maintained by Kosmaj.

gd_barnes 2007-11-09 16:18

Kosmaj, if you are going to add contributors, would you add mine also at the bottom of the k < 300 page?

Thanks,

new update

ok, 4 weeks are over so the next update is here!

new: slightly different menu with new point 'Miscellaneous' with some other pages like:
- all RPS-drive (only 5th with more info, others only overview, more data coming next)
- the Riesel problem
- the even Riesel problem
- first odd k with twin (only few new data)
- Woodall primes
- useful links

all data pages are from today (30.11.2007).

Some stats since last update:
- 107 new k's (7051 all over)
- 489 new primes (15 new for k<300!) (120153 all)
- 336 new primes with link to Top5000 (1711 all)

have a look and fun... and find errors please!

karsten

mdettweiler 2007-11-30 22:28

I don't see the "Miscellaneous" link on the menu on the left-hand side of the 15k.org page--did you by chance forget to put the link on the menu?

kar_bon 2007-11-30 22:30

to ano (and others):
sorry. but i forgot to mention: i have to send the new pages per mail to Kosmaj and he will put them online the next days, so please be patient for a while.

thanks Kosmaj for quick upload!

Flatlander 2007-12-02 18:40

This page 6.000 < k < 8.000 shows FlatLander and Chatfield as two separate people. The last time I looked I was just one.

kar_bon 2007-12-02 18:45

i decided to choose the real name for primes in the Top5000 which are not associated to RPS (those primes are from you constant n searches). your RPS-primes are further under Flatlander. agree or not? better only Flatlander? let me know!
karsten

PS: oh, i see, it's not consistent on that page! sorry! tell me which name you want to see, i'll do that!

Flatlander 2007-12-02 19:05

I have no preference so there is no point in changing it.
Actually quite a few of my primes are from fixed k but not RPS.
(k =1449, 1785, 2205, 2605, 3045, 4515, 9345, 22365)
I will include RPS if I find anymore.

Edit:
Okay, I've changed my mind. All under Chatfield please unless it's a pain.

kar_bon 2007-12-02 19:11

oh, no pain: Alt-B + E (=replace in german notepad) and all is done.
pain was making the pages with Gary's prime for k<10000 and n<10000

Cruelty 2007-12-18 17:20

I have finished testing 100001<k<199999 exponents till n=20000. Results have been e-mailed to kar_bon.
There are ~1 million primes in that range.

kar_bon 2007-12-19 00:52

thanks cruelty,
got the file.
there're 4 twins and 4 Sophie Germain in that range for 15000<n<20000.
so this is pain to make a page of them (100000<k<199999 and 1<k<20000).
i think not a page like the others in the near future, perhaps a short one or special k's out of them including in the existing summary pages or a statistics is quite realistic!
thanks for this great effort!
karsten

A most impressive effort, Cruelty. Well done!

Perhaps I will take up filling in 10K<k<100K sometime in the spring.
i think not a page like the others in the near future, perhaps a short one or special k's out of them including in the existing summary pages or a statistics is quite realistic!
You mean a summary like?
k=100001 | number of primes = ... | number of twins = ... | number of SGs = ...
k=100003 | number of primes = ... | number of twins = ... | number of SGs = ...
etc.
Sounds good :tu:

gd_barnes 2007-12-27 04:47

Karsten,

Since you're showing all twins, I'll mention that my "all-twin" effort for k < 1M is complete up to n=30K. See this post in the 'Twin Prime Search' project. I plan to take this at least to my top-10 twin find at n=100K and probably higher. Comprehensive lists with no gaps are the objective!

They are also on my web pages at:
http://gbarnes017.googlepages.com/twins1M.htm
http://gbarnes017.googlepages.com/twins100K.htm

Gary

kar_bon 2007-12-30 23:32

the new updates are bit for bit running over the lines so they will be seen soon
new:
- contributors with avatars of this forum (if they exist).
- miscellaneous with more informations of most other RPS efforts
(will later create own page for every effort with more infos too, like the 5 drives)

Stats:
- 150 more k's
- 2600 more primes (most small ones, 18 for k<300)
- 180 more linked primes to Top5000
- 70 more twins listed
- 100 more CunninghamChains (mostly Sophie Germain)
- one new Woodall

happy new year to all

Absolutely great Karsten! Quick loading, a fully loaded k < 300 page, and up to date all of the time! :flex: What could be better?

Did you purchase the domain name or did it come from 15k.org? Rieselprime is much more reflective of our effort than 15k. I think it makes sense to scrap the 15k domain name in favor of the new rieselprime name. As far as I'm concerned, your changes are on line!

As I've said many times before...great work on the pages!

kar_bon 2008-08-06 13:15

after some problems connecting/accessing to www.rieselprime.org to upload all data i created the same data under the domain www.rieselprime.de.

so if there are any problems with the org-server try the de-server.
there is a notice to go further (second link) if there are any problems with .org!

kar_bon 2008-08-29 10:30

the k < 300 page with current data is uploaded again on www.rieselprime.org

kar_bon 2008-09-29 08:39

i included a Summary page for the 6th Drive, see http://www.rieselprime.org/rps6/RPS6_Summary.htm

i have to fill some more data to complete the page.

PS: Some Stats for the whole data:
7388 k's listed
132.000 primes listed
2950 twins listed

AES 2008-10-02 01:09

The 6th Drive summary looks good.

I noticed one error in the k<300 page. k=257 was part of the rps 6th drive long before it was selected for the nplb 4th.

kar_bon 2008-10-02 07:28

sorry for that!
according to Kosmaj's post in the 6th Drive thread the reservation of k=257 will stand for NPLB upto n=1M, after that for RPS from n=1M to 1.4M.

Kosmaj 2008-10-02 07:59

Karsten

If you didn't understand my post, what I said is that we are continuing to test k=257 but separately, on a fast track, because NPLB has tried to snatch that K from us. 600-834k is already complete, 834-860 in progress in the drive, n>860 in progress separately. And IIRC 200-600 was also tested by RPS 1-2 years ago.

BTW, we don't approve your latest k<300 page as we clearly stated that we consider NPLB reservations null and void. There are new reseravtions by RPS members that you sadly chose to ignore.

kar_bon 2008-10-02 08:32

my intention from beginning of the Summary-pages for Riesel-primes was to collect all data about them available for all and in just a few clicks.

so i inserted all double-reservations from RPS- and NPLB-members in the k<300 page!!!

everyone can search any k he wants, even if this is doublecheck work.
the only point for me is keeping the data current and complete!

kar_bon 2008-10-14 08:50

New layout

i uploaded a new layout for www.rieselprime.org!

new features:
- easier menu with more data to come
-> full screenwidth in data-tables

data available:
- all links in the data section are on
- for RPS: all drives and some other efforts are on (more to come)
- for NPLB: only 3 drives (more to come)
- other project: nothing yet (more....)
- Related: all links available

PS:
to Kosmaj:
please delete all data under www.15k.org, because they are out of date for almost a year!!!

em99010pepe 2008-10-14 09:20

The only thing I don't like... is seeing the ass kicking I'm getting on k=9. :juggle:
