Unfortunately, the chances of finding the wolverine of your dreams are rapidly diminishing. The North American wolverine isn't designated as endangered, but it should be. Habitat loss, partially due to Climate Disruption has greatly reduced its numbers. Part of the problem is less deep snow pack in which to dig dens and have kits. They may not be very nice, but one has to admire a creature of this size which has been known to take on a polar bear. In one report, this proved fatal to the bear.

I told your sad tale to the resident bassoonist at the non-profit where I work. She endorse the cold therapy, with an added suggestion. This was, apply heat before playing, and cold after. She also mentioned Ibuprofen.

I will add that this is similar to treatments I learned from my mother. Alternating heat and cold can also help clear up infections, especially in the extremities. Finally, even if you haven't been playing, regular cold, or heat-cold applications a few times a day can work wonders. One rule I have learned is to always end with cold.

My girlfriend is kind enough she let me use her old Mac laptop to run Prime95. I have a thing against Macs and so as a joke I named it "DevilMac." She didn't particularly like that name and made me change it to "WhiteUnicorn." 130 days for a 70 M LL test. Why not?

That's only 30% longer than my (only) machine uses for a 35M DC. A test of a 70M exponent would be out of the question for me. It all helps, anyway.:smile:

More unhappy news:

The Royals were dominated in Game 4 to tie the series at 2 - 2 thus upping the ante for Game 5 and 6 significantly. Hopefully they can pitch better and bat smarter (don't ignore obvious bunt opportunities!) tomorrow night.
