I am surprised that the Arkansas DMV didn't offer you the opportunity to register via Motor Voter when you switched your license and vehicle registration (you *did* switch within 60 days of moving, right? ;-) ). When I moved from MD to GA and then back again, the DMV clerk asked me if I wanted to register and then she had me enter all my personal information into an application right then and there. I received my new voter registration card in a couple of weeks in each instance.

For all the ballyhooing about voter ID, it would be so much easier just to use the driver's license or State ID card for voting purposes. As I said to someone on Facebook, surely deciding the fate of the country (and, arguably, that of the free world) ought to merit at least the same ID requirements as purchasing a bottle of Boone's Farm strawberry wine.

In any event, sorry for your disenfranchisement, Xyzzy. Be sure to incite a real hootenanny of civil unrest in your town if your candidate loses!

While I am not planning on touring Dord Aberica in the forseeable future, I'm still fascinated to know what acetabinophed is. If Baul or anyone else would like to translate out of Baul-speak (which is often pretty technical at the best of times, and this is clearly not the best of times!) via Dord Aberican into European, that will be very useful so that we know what to buy for a heavy cold on the other side of the Atlantic.

Paracetamol = acetaminophen (Tylenol is a popular brand)
