I would take NPR over CNN and Fox. And they are better than NABCBS.

If you want to get through to POTUS, do what John Oliver does, and buy ads on Fox....

Well, not unhappy 'Me' but some poor guy I saw on the news put my bad feelings in perspective:

A few days ago I saw a report that showed this guy who lived in Hawaii standing in front of his house, still in his work clothes, who explained to the news crew that he just got home from work and the police wouldn't let him into his house because a fissure just opened up in his backyard and was spewing lava !!!
Later on, they let him make one mad dash into his house for 5 minutes to collect what he could in that limited time.
Sheesh !

I understand the sympathy. I also understand that living on the flank of a very active volcano is somewhat like living on the Gulf or Atlantic coasts of the US. Unfortunate things are bound to happen sooner or later.

Bed-ridden with gout. Can't move more than a metre or so without a walking stick. :paul:

My sympathies- Here's a walking stick I found on our window screen (reflection of the neighbor's house in the window). Hope you recover soon- I've never had gout, but have friends who have; does not sound pleasant.

My sympathy. I have gout as a side effect of statin drugs. I've been taking colchicine prophylactically - it seems to work for me.

About 4 hours after I left on my vacation to Costa Rica, I lost power at home. Three computers shut down and thus 14 cores did no work for the remainder of my vacation.

That sucks... Most BIOSs have a setting on what to do after a power failure, including boot. Separately, in a LAN environment, WOL can be very helpful....

Saturday I was injured. 1 digit was broken on dominant hand and 10 stitches were required on it. Within the same second a family member was also injured. They have dermabond and steri-strips, and had an eye exam.

Uncontrolled release of rotationally stored energy is no joke.
