... you make a post in a thread just because it will be a prime number post in thread

(guilty - this is post #541 in this thread, and 541 is a prime!)
You hate the moderator, because he has deleted some older postings, and thus your posting # is no longer prime.

There is something very special about the following mersenne primes:

2^5-1 (3rd Mersenne Prime- 2 digits)
2^7-1 (4th Mersenne Prime- 3 digits)
2^61-1 (9th Mersenne Prime- 19 digits)
2^521-1 (13th Mersenne Prime- 157 digits)
2^9689-1 (21st Mersenne Prime- 2,917 digits)

These primes also have a prime number of digits!!!

There is also something special about these mersenne primes as well:

2^23,209-1 (26th Mersenne Prime- Discovered in 1979)
2^44,497-1 (27th Mersenne Prime- Discovered in 1979)
2^2,976,221-1 (36th Mersenne Prime- Discovered in 1997)
2^6,972,593-1 (38th Mersenne Prime- Discovered in 1999)
2^20,996,011-1 (40th Mersenne Prime- Discovered in 2003)

These primes were discovered in a year that is prime!!!

Unfortunately, there is no known mersenne prime that has a prime number of digits AND was discovered in a prime year. Not to mention that the last prime to have a prime number of digits was M21 in 1963. The next prime year is 2011, so lets find a prime then that also has a prime number of digits!

... you keep a record of which Mersenne primes have a prime number of digits and were discovered in a prime-numbered year.

That's RIGHT!

P.S. Hey jinydu, you forgot to mention that your post number is 547, and 547 is prime! lol.

You are sad because 2^31890823 - 1 is not prime
