If somebody who you haven't yet converted to GIMPS shows you this link: http://www.progressquest.com/ (a game that you don't do anything to, you just leave it running overnight) and you have nightmares for weeks.
Of course, you would never play an online game. They waste CPU cycles!
You and a friend create decorative coasters made out of dead CDs. The tops of the coasters are made out of (insert crappy proprietary ISP here) CDs in an attempt to rid computers of these evil cycle-stealing programs.
(guilty) |
You gently recycle said CD's to help insure a cleaner environment to welcome M42.
You discover so many new Mersenne primes that you need http://www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://www.lacie.com/products/range.htm%3Fid%3D10033&e=42 to store all the exponents.
You are a bit unhappy with the movie The Core, not (just) because of the shortcomings, but because Keyes, the "always right" professor, uses 1 as a prime number. -- guilty --
Well, Keyes is fictional. Blame it on the producers. |
You continue to run your gigantic GIMPS farm, despite the danger (http://news.com.com/Is+the+dust+on+your+computer+toxic%3F/2100-1041-5225799.html?part=dht&tag=ntop) it poeses to your health.
You wonder how much electromagnetic shielding would cost so you can line your farm lab with it to protect your nodes from evil EM pulses that would short them out. The decision to buy or not is, of course, totally dependent on how many nodes you could add for the same amount of money and whether you can justify the lost potential output.
you do everything in your power to increase production include trying to make small cluster which fails you soon scheme to buy off the shelf compents and try again...
You resurrect his thread.

you seek ways around company firewalls and site-blocking to access this website
