24 hr run
 

Hi all,

Everyone is invited to make a 24 hr run on PRP Riesel testing starting on 20/10/2006 at [B]9pm[/B] (Zulu time).

so it will start on midnight portugal time ?

to be very accurate, will it start at 11pm utc or at the stats update of 11pm utc (around 11H20 UTC) ?

I made a mistake, it starts at 9 pm Zulu, 10 pm Portugal time. Can someone update my first post?

Sorry for asking, but I'm still relatively new to the project. You mean trying to get as many PRP tests run during those 24 using LLRnet (i.e. the online version) only, right? Otherwise one could cheat collecting offline tests for reserved ranges, or did I completely misunderstand the whole thing?

I guess I can do something between 100 and 200 PRP Riesel tests a day, am I qualified or should I look for challenges in a smaller league? :)

The run is only for the online client version but you can join with your reserved k. For the stats it's easier to track down the 24 hours output because when you run in offline mode we don't know how many tests you have done in a certain amount of time.
Yes, the goal is to do as many tests as possible and to find a prime.

You're free to join us, we do it because it is fun and we tease each other on Free-DC forum.

it's especially fun to do a challenge in small project like that ...

for people allready participating, it add fun

and for the project, it can attract some medium to heavy hitter.
if we can multiply the daily output by 10 for 24 hours, it will for sure give us 1 prime, maybe 2 and if we are lucky, it will give 3 or more ...

multiply the daily output by 10 is not impossible (last time carlos taunted Helix, helix tripled the total daily output and found a prime in a 20 hours run)

myself i actually give 5ghz to the project and for short-time contest, i can add 11Ghz :cry:

the goal is to make a lot of prp test, to stomp a maximum of other participant and most of all, have fun :beer: and find primes :blush:

everybody is welcome to the contest. if you can't fight against the topscorer, you can fight against people in your range (try to stomp the man just in front of you :grin: or not to be stomped by the man behind you :sick: )
