slow progress
I would like to say that my progress in the range, which I reserved will be very slow. I lost one SSD drive few days ago, which kept the logs for the work done. I will not mind if someone finishes the range before me, because I do not want to slow down the project. I have the aim of checking those numbers, but it will be slow. I am sorry if I caused any problems, but I am sorry for my SSD too :-).

bloodIce, I'm sorry to hear about your SSD crash. I hope that you got some replacement and your machine is running well now.
Don't worry if you are making only a slow progress. We don't have any fixed expiry dates up to which a range has to be completed. Especially if you're not running your machine(s) all around the clock, a single block may take quite long. So, if it's done in a week or two - that's pretty fine. If it takes one or two months - that's also no problem. Just keep us informed about your progress perhaps once in a month (also if you decide to abandon your range). Only if there wasn't any status report or life sign after half a year or so, we may decide to reschedule a range. |
lost sieve
Thanks for the reassurance Thomas. Could you please upload the sieve file for the 2753000-2756000 range, since I lost it with my drive crash. This file will speed the process, since I do not need to test all numbers.

The file is still on the server. I added the link again. See the first post in this thread... |
Got it, thank you very much. Now the sieve file is in my dropbox, so you can remove the link again. I need to redo the expos I have done, because I do not have the certificates. However, now I will store all the results in my dropbox folder, so there will be no more steps backwards. Sorry for the delay, I am starting on full speed now.

Finally, the range 2753-2756 is complete, sorry for the delay. There are no primes, which is not really surprising. In the attachment one can see the checksums for each of those expos.
