Congrats on your first prime, and the second one
515106735*2^176792-1
large enough for Top-5000! But when you find your next prime for this k, or for k=2995125705 which you just reserved please mail prof. Caldwell and ask him to include the reference to the "15k search" project in your prover's code L87.

segmtfault
Unbelievable! The third prime in a row!
Congrats.

Thanks - I added "15k search" to the descriptive data for the L87 prover's code.
Is that the way to do it?

thanks,
Larry

And 15k moves up to 10th place in "prime teams".

Thanks Paul

Well, no, becuse this way the primes you find don't contribute directly to the project's score. When creating your new prover's code there was a field to list "the others" who helped you find the prime. In that field you should have entered "15k" and also the sieving software you used (NewPgen?). The only way to change this is to mail prof. Caldwell, the editor of Top-5000. You can use the following form. Be sure to inlcude your name and your prover's code. You can do it now, since your prime is still on the status page nobody will really notice.

Thanks. I've mailed Caldwell and asked him to add 15k to the list for
that prover code.

thanks,
Larry

794977755 is complete to 220k and here are the primes:
794977755 197835
794977755 210947

Is there a rule of thumb as to when it's useful to extend the range
beyond the rookie 220k?

thanks,
Larry
