v23.2 vs 23.3 vs 23.4 v23.4 can run even faster if I close some of my apps. Just for kicks I tried benchmarking an Athlon XP 1800+. It seems most of the recent optimizations hurt the Athlon code path, but that's not too surprising.

All changes have been "neutral" on the Athlon. That is, the non-SSE2 code has not changed at all. |
