Reservation for n=195,000 are temporarily stopped.

You cannot reserve other ranges for the moment.

Also PrimeGrid has stopped the reservation.

We plan to test our next exponent soon.

pacionet 2007-01-16 16:09

MooMooo, do you think that will be possible to start LLR testing of n=333,333 soon or not ?

What are we waiting for ?

LLR testing will be available as soon as Rytis is ready to put the pre-sieved files onto PrimeGrid. I think this will happen sometime around this weekend, when his exams are over.

pacionet 2007-01-17 13:07

I began to upload the pre-sieved files here:

http://www.twinprimesearch.org/n333333/0-1000.tps (0M-1000M)

For the moment they will be all 1G .
Tonight (GMT) I'll begin to create the pre-sieved page.

If you have updated versions of the files please send me a link to the file (please create files with the same ranges of those present on the site).

Somebody can send me some script/program (Windows) to create single 1G range files from the entire file of pre-sieved number, instead to do it manually ?

(For reason of maximum space available, there can be MAX (about) 25 pre-sieved file at the same moment on the server, but this is not a problem)

Rytis, when he will need new ranges, can access here and download them (in this way we 'll always have an updated version in a single location)

gribozavr 2007-01-17 17:34

pacionet, we haven't deleted factored numbers yet.

We need to decide when we will start LLR, and I will merge everything the day before.

And some technical details: I suggest the files to be of 5G. And, probably zip them. Anyway, we first need to remove factored numbers.

pacionet 2007-01-17 20:53

OK so please send me a link to the pre-sieved file, when it is ready.

Putting them on the site, in my opinion, should simplify Rytis 's life: he can create an automatic script to dowload them when necessary (when the queue of PrimeGrid is almost empty); otherwise he should ask on the forum "Give me next pre-sieved file",then we must use a temporary URL to upload it, and so on.

I have this process in mind:

1) Different users sieve n=333,333 and send their file to somebody (gribozavr ?)

2) somebody (gribozavr ?) merge and work on them to create updated pre-sieved files

3) gribozavr upload them on the site (or send them to me and I'll upload them)

4) the automatic script download updated files when necessary

Do you agree ?

As suggested by jimblazek we must use an unique convention for the names of pre-sieved files. Personally, I suggests:

pre_0-1000.tps (from 0 to 1000M )
pre_1000-2000.tps (from 1000M to 2000M)

and so on, replacing the old conventions.

I think that LLR re-start 22 or 23 January.

No problem to upload 5G file (zipped or not).

Rytis, do you think it is the right size for PrimeGrid ? (that is, all the users join us ?)

Rytis 2007-01-18 10:55

I already have the automated download and import script, it just needs to be adapted to 333333. Yes, 5G should be fine.

I plan to restart on 23rd, so until then sieve like there is no tomorrow :)
