I sow this "New files starting from n=3M will be available soon, 2995-3000 is a placeholder (not available)" so does I need to remove it or I can process that range also?

Wait for Kosmaj or Thomas. While you wait go here [URL]http://uwin.mine.nu/sieves/rsp/sievefile/[/URL] and download [URL="http://uwin.mine.nu/sieves/rsp/sievefile/rsp3M_20110731.7z"]rsp3M_20110731.7z[/URL]. Extract file for k=17 and see if the range 2995-3000 is equal to the one hosted by Kosmaj. If so you can process it.
