I just checked against that list. No repeats.

These new ones I'm looking at go from 23.2M to 49.9M, which is about where that other list George created starts out.
I could redo them all up to 64 by tomorrow evening, if you like. Just post the list (in any format, I can massage it). If you have the highest level sannerud.com took them to, I could then redo that work in a couple of days.

By the way, be sure to give George and James a wave and an "attaboy" for working on getting these v4 logs together. I don't know what format they were in originally but James wrangled them into a format that matched the v5 results and we got them added in to the database.
Thanks, guys!
We're not totally done checking it all out for data issues but so far it all seems like it's in good shape.
Excellent!
Attached is a list I generated of those exponents. I created worktodo.txt compatible entries for them with a starting point of 62-bits since that's what I got them all retested up to. I just put in 69 bits as the "to bits" since that's the furthest sannerud took any of them (some were 67, some 68).

Since these are exponents where I didn't see anyone do any other work at all, it doesn't really matter how far sannerud took them to... nobody took 'em any further.

There will still be some exponents to look at after these. Some of them will be where sannerud did checking of part of the range but someone else took it further. Those are a little more complex to sort out so I'll get to those later. This list ought to be a good start though for anyone interested.
We cross-posted :)

I'll take the 175 you posted up to 69. It will take about a week.

175? I count 583 my good man. :) But do as many as you want.

If it's useful to you, sannerud took that first one 7291567 only up to 2^62 anyway.

From 23281901 - 27591107 he took them to 2^67.
From 28133789 - 44041097 he took them to 2^68
From 47453473 - 49988009 he took them to 2^69

I just realized I distributed work from the wrong file :(

Let me redistribute the correct file and see what my estimate is.

Edit: my estimate is about 1 day of work, but I'll queue it after some other work I have pending, so I should have the work done by Friday.

No new factors found in rechecking that bit of sannerud's TF work.

Are we there yet?
I wouldn't mind helping with sys admin duties on any Windows based solution...that's my bread and butter, how I keep food in my belly and a roof over my head. Plus it's the kind of thing that really shouldn't take more than a few minutes a week really, once it's running. If it takes more than that to keep a multi-tier app going in a steady state, then something is wrong.
Two months out from any comment in this thread, would you say that week duty is less than a few minutes a week as mentioned in your offer statement?
Particularly I would like to thank you for taking on-board the need to make dates ISO standard, in many various places that they appear.

Keeping the server itself running takes very little effort on my part. Yesterday was patch Tuesday from Microsoft, so I envision doing some work over the weekend or some night soon just to install updates but otherwise it's light duty. The hardest part was just getting things switched to new hardware, but fortunately after that the system maintenance itself is relatively simple.

Redoing the look of the web pages definitely occupied lots of nights and weekends but again it's down to a trickle of changes here and there.

George and James keep on top of changes needed to web/sql stuff with my occasional [STRIKE]interference[/STRIKE] help.

Madpoo 2015-08-24 21:11

FYI, building on something George added a while back, I added an additional change to the assignment routine.

Namely, George added a check so that the same user wouldn't get a double check for an exponent they did the first time check on. I added in an additional clause that they also wouldn't get it if their Primenet v4 account did the first time check.

The change should be working okay... the only odd part I can think of worth mentioning is that a v5 anonymous user can't DC something that a v4 anonymous user did, but that's fine with me. I think as it is now, a v5 anon user can't DC another v5 anon user's work, so it's just more of the same there.

As usual, jump up and down and wave your hands if you have any related issues.

Some funky factor/no factor clashing here: http://www.mersenne.org/report_exponent/?exp_lo=72533261&full=1

Edit: just noticed, it is already being discussed: http://mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=20438

Server having issues... home page only

Well, not sure what, but the site monitoring I setup for www.mersenne.org is telling me there's a problem, and sure enough, the site keeps trying to redirect to itself, repeatedly.

It's only affecting the home page for whatever reason. Honestly, I didn't touch it!

Looking into it. Hang tight.

And fixed. I don't even know what happened there, I just restarted IIS and it's working now.

It was constantly redirecting the home page to itself. Now, there is a rule that will redirect "mersenne.org" to the "www" version, and also handles trailing backslashes, but those have been in place for months and months. Weird.

Well, carry on!
