Is there a page where those results marked as "Suspect" are listed or can be queried?
Some are assigned, but here's the list. There are another couple dozen that were marked suspect but were then done by one or more PRP tests, so I didn't count those. PRP results
The link to the detailed report PRP results is missing from the site. The coding is done because the page exists, just the link is missing.

A couple of small refinements: In the bottom section "Test results where factor was found later", the exponents are not blue-linked. Also, preda found a factor with his hybrid PRP−1 method, but the PRP results report incorrectly includes the exponent ([M]M89625761[/M]) in the "Test results where factor was found later" section. |

I basically copied the code for the LL result page, tweaked a bit, and then left it for later (which is "now", I suppose). I can look into it again "later". I spent some time over my Christmas break doing a few other interesting tweaks to the site. One involved mocking up some code to be able to at least display factoring info for exponents above 1 billion (for now I just copied the factoring info from mersenne.ca so long term this would need more real-time integration). As it is, James' site is still the source-of-truth for that and better to use, but in the future, who knows... maybe Prime95 can add factoring support for those larger exponents. The second big tweak I did was revamping the "forgot password" page. It now emails you a one-time link to reset your password rather than fuss with the dubious secret question/response stuff. It means having a valid email address if you ever need to reset your password, but that makes sense. Well, I guess a 3rd tweak I mocked up was adding recaptcha to the sign-up page, but honestly we don't have a problem with bots signing up, it was more of a "let's see how it looks" type of thing, and easy to implement. Probably won't go live. |
Zombie TF assignments
1 Attachment(s)
I'm seeing some weird behavior with some TF assignments.
Here is the outline of events: 1. On April 8, 2018, I reserved about 300 TF assignments in the 98.6M exponent range from bitlevels 71 to 72. 2. For some reason (human error?), I allowed those assignments to expire on June 7, 2018. 3. On November 28, 2018, I reserved these exponents again. Still for TF to 72 bits. 4. On December 13, 2018, I reported results and got strange error messages (results not needed, processing anyway, rewarding credit). 5. Recently, I noticed that the November 28th reservation was still active, but the assignment had changed from "TF to 72 bits" to "TF to 73 bits" 6. Today, I reported results for some of these exponents. Again, I got the error message and the reservation got bumped up a bit level. Is this a bug or the desired behavior? It seems like a flaky response to the case of a user reserving work that he previously allowed to expire. I attached a screenshot of the exponent status page for one of the exponent assignments in question. |

Is this a bug or the desired behavior?.
Without delving into the PHP code, I'm not surprised by the behavior. Is it desirable -- probably not. |

If bitlevels are skipped, it can be detrimental (i.e. somebody reserves a 72 and let it expire, and the next guy in line gets a 73). Just thinking out loud, I didn't do any test. |
At least in the above example no bitlevels were skipped:[M]M98624297[/M], perhaps just assigned to a higher bitlevel than the user expected?
|
No bitlevels have been skipped. There just seems to be no way for me to complete the assignments. I'll let them expire and we'll see what happens when the next worker reserves them. I suspect it will be fine.
Here's an example of the error message: processing: TF no-factor for M98624831 (272-273) Result type (4) inappropriate for the assignment type (unknown). Processing result but not deleting assignment. CPU credit is 9.6985 GHz-days. |
Right now, I keep getting a message saying "No assignment available meeting CPU, program code, and work preference requirements". Then it lists a cpu # as 0 and a user ID number. What do I do?

Yep I'm getting the same thing here. |
