Infinitely more helpful, thank you.

I haven't reserved anything yet, I was just poking through the tables for the first time and noticed this discrepancy. I thought it might be algebraic factors, but the webpage didn't indicate they had been removed already.

My apologies for not taking the time to figure it out for myself, Dr. Silverman, but if you were going to take the time to contribute 0 information to me, why not take (eplison + time) and say something helpful?
OK. Here is a helpful suggestion.

Before you participate any further in this domain, you should go back
to school and learn the pre-high school and high school mathematics
that you should have learned the first time.

Your original question showed a basic lack of understanding of
fundamental algebra: x^3 + y^3 has the algebraic factor (x+y).

I also ask: why weren't you willing to take the time to figure it out
for yourself? Do you want everything just handed to you? Don't you
have any pride in self-accomplishment?

I've heard this many times before.

I'm just saying that a response of: "algebraic factors, you clueless weasel", would not have taken you much longer to type, and yet would have made me perfectly happy, as my question would have been answered.

This conversation has in fact been helpful though. It shows that *my* factorization code (yes, i've written my own) doesn't handle algebraic factors properly for numbers of this form. I've got a bug to go find now.

Do you want all your questions answered for you???

Are you so lazy that you can't be bothered to do something for yourself?

Your responses remind me of the old saying:

"Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he
eats for a lifetime"

Are you someone who is content to let others do your thinking???

Yet you remain willfully ignorant. :missingteeth:

It's pathetic.:google:

It is one thing to be ignorant. We are all ignorant about a great many
things. :rtfm:

But only a fool refuses to learn. As you do.:w00t:

I did not wish to start your tirade again. I apologize to everyone reading this that is enduring it.

You think I'm a troll, and nothing I say here will change that.

Going through the exercise of figuring it out for myself would not have taught me anything new. I was just trying to save myself some time, a plan that has badly backfired now.

Have a nice day.

Does anyone else here believe that one does not learn anything new by
figuring out something for one's self?

Of course not.

What I meant by what I said was that I already know how to find algebraic factors of expressions. I guess that meaning wasn't clear. Since I already know how, I would not have learned anything new.

Also, what I meant by saying "I've heard this many time before", was that I've heard you go on that tirade quite a bit, and that I thought it was unwarrented. I didn't get to where I am today by not learning anything for myself. In fact, one of the things I've learned is to try to be efficient whenever possible - hence my question instead of some tedious work with my calculator to figure it out.

This forum doesn't allow for much reading behind the lines between two faceless people that don't know each other. Maybe I should have phrased my question better. But I think you should definately give people the benefit of the doubt before going out of your way to throw insults and generally waste peoples time after seeing one post.
Please stop the flame !
Exactly. My post was perhaps too subtle for some readers here, but that's often the case it seems. However, it's nice to see that someone understood.

To return to the point, I posted updated tables to my web page yesterday. There are now fewer than 500 composites in the extended tables.

Why not?
I am crunching on and off for this effort.
I can do this now on my new machine but, I have choosen that I am now crunching for another project.

Jesus Christ, Bob, again, we are all different people.
Come down from that Ivory Tower ... maybye I am not as smart as you on math level but I maybye I am more civilised in any other way you will be ever be.

I am not starting a flame war again.
