Where does one obtain ecmclient 2.5.x or 2.7.x these days? I only see 2.0k and 3.0.0.

Ordinarily I would say go to rogue's (Mark Rodenkirch) home page, but that appears to be down (or it's changed and I can't find the new URL). I have a zip of what I think is the stock 2.7.3 client/server distribution which I can send you or attach here, but we should maybe get Mark's take on this first. Mark, do you look at this thread? |
Indeed. Can you show me a sample line that includes the new format?
Changing the code for both client and server is easy enough to do, but deploying it is harder. Everyone would have to update their client code to see any change. Changing it on the server alone won't do anything, since the server just receives the sigma value from the client.
I've just recently seen it (and not only from ECM-GPU users). ...Right... I still have the sources. Which OS do you need a build for?

It sounds like Greg was happy just getting the source and could build it himself, but he'll no doubt correct me if that's wrong. Is there still any location from which the 2.7.x sources can be downloaded? |
Source is best, but otherwise linux amd64.

The modified files still have the Emacs backups in place so you can see what I changed.

Thanks. It doesn't seem to have an option to launch x instances of ecm. How do you deal with multiple cores? One ecmclient/core? If so, can they all run from the same directory? Thanks!

Create multiple folders for ecmclient. |
7 factors reported to the server so far, and another 17 by email from Greg. Web tables updated and, I believe, the server brought into line.
Create multiple folders for ecmclient.
That's what I do.
Greg: if you wish I can send you a tarball of my client setup. |
